Start the day by moving in a comfortable air-conditioned bus, directly from the door of your hotel. Visit the nearby Francisco A. Micheli baseball stadium, home of the Eastern Bulls, where you can take photos of the field and listen to interesting comments about the cultural importance of this sport, which has made the Dominicans the best players in the world. Then, continue to “La Matilde”, the largest tobacco factory on the island, discover the history of the Dominican cigar and how those piles of dried leaves become some of the best cigars in the world.

Then, make a detour to the bohemian Altos de Chavón, a replica of a medieval city, where you can explore archeological sites, appreciate the Taino exhibition at the Regional Archaeological Museum, and take the opportunity to buy excellent local crafts, before heading to the Chavón River.

Climb aboard a spacious barge, take a seat and enjoy the breathtaking natural landscape, while chefs prepare freshly caught lobster on a hot grill.
